Flyers – Who are on a roll?
Currently only one team is in my definition as a flyer, as in they have had 12 or more points in the last 15 and that is Grimsby Town.
13 points from the last 15 has firmly put them in the hunt for a playoff spot, with a run of 4 wins pushing the graph into the green zone. Will they continue this form and solidify their place in the playoffs? Looking at the graph they have mostly been hovering just below the playoff zone. Before this run of form, their previous 5 games only had 2 draws and no wins, so it seems that their form can be a bit erratic. We shall have to see if this is a turning point.

Flatliners – Who are going nowhere?
My definition of a flatliner is any team scoring 2 points or less out of the last 15.
This week, there are 4 teams who fit this description – Tranmere, Carlisle, MK Dons and Accrington.

Carlisle and Tranmere have both taken only 2 points out of the last 5. They are both down at the wrong end of the table and firmly in the relegation scrap. At this point of the season it is difficult to get out of the loosing habit and winning games can have a huge boost to moral. I would say Carlisle obviously are in a worse position, but Tranmere’s longer form, only taking 3 points out of the last 27 must surely be a huge worry to fans.

MK Dons have taken 1 point out of 5. It is probably disappointing for them, but the team are in no danger and are firmly mid-table right now. They had a very good run of form earlier in the season and was pushing towards the autos but since then form has been very erratic. i think they are probably too far away to make a push for playoffs at this point so it looks like the season is pretty much finished for them.
Accrington have also only taken 1 point from 15. They are a little above the relegation scrap but not by much. We will need to keep a close eye on their next few games. 3 or 4 more games without a win and they will definitely start to look like they are in trouble.
